Martin High School graduate Christie Orr/Robinson has earned her doctorate degree and is now serving as superintendent at Springport Public Schools in Jackson County.
Robinson graduated from Martin in 1989 and was a starting guard on the Lady Clippers’ basketball team that went undefeated until the state Class D finals in 1987.
She went on to become a high school science teacher for 18 years at Allegan Schools and then took a job high school seven years as an assistant principal, athletic director and high school principal at Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools.
Robinson told the Jackson Citizen Patriot she believes she will fit in at Springport because of her experiences with a small school and farming activities.
