The Martin High School wrestling team entered seven grapplers at Division 4 regionals Saturday and all seven qualified for the individual state meet at Ford Field two weeks hence in Detroit.
The team members were 113: Jacinto Lopez (113 lbs) second place; Zaiden Buell (120) second place; Adler Hofer (126) regional champion; Urijah Joostberns (132) second place; Logan Curry (150) regional champ; Haylen Buell (165) regional champ, and Peyton Schuring-Harris (285) second place.
The Martin Clipper wrestling program. Has produced 23 individual state champions,115 individual state placers, the 1988 team state champions, team state runner-up in 1987, 1991, 2004 and 2025,
Final four in team state competitions in 2002, 2006 and 2023, team elite eights in 2001, 2010, 2015 and 2024.
