Martin High School grad Susan Sebright Tyler dies

Susan Carol Sebright Tyler died Thursday, March 12, at Trinity Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was 77 years old.

Born in Allegan, to her late parents, Martin and Clara (Rice) Sebright on Aug. 11, 1948, Susan attended Martin High School. Following graduation, she worked at the Eagles in Allegan as a waitress. There she met her husband, Clifford Tyler. They were married for 54 years.

Susan enjoyed baking, gardening, thrift store shopping and spending time with her dog, Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford; daughters, Ronda (Bob) Breed, Tara (Dave) Wheeler, Andrea Tyler and Heather (Todd) Adam; and several grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara and Brenda; and her brothers, Donald and Lyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arline; brother-in-law, Robert; brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Avis; brother-in-law, Gene; sister-in-law, Fran; sister-in-law, Patty; and her best friend, Sharon Anderson.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan; or The Uterine Cancer Awareness Network (UCAN).
