Sentencing for a 23-year-old Martin man who admitted to having sex with a mentally disabled client at a facility will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 16 in Allegan County Circuit Court.

Benjamin Paul-Alexander Arce, pleaded guilty earlier this week to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct by person in position of trust with a mentally disabled victim nearly a year ago in a Manlius Township facility where he had been working as enrichment director

Arce told Circuit Judge Roberts S. Kengis he knew the victim was mentally disabled and the victim had performed oral sex on him.

Arce entered a guilty plea to the reduced charge as part of a plea agreement. A first degree criminal sexual conduct will be dropped at sentencing.

Arce argued his client had no criminal history and no violations of his bond.
