The Martin wrestling team earned a share of the Southwest Athletic Conference championship with Allegan Wednesday by capturing the league meet title.
Martin/Climax-Scotts needed to win the tournament to earn a share of the conference title. It came down to the wire with CSM winning the tournament with 215 total points to beat Allegan by just 3 points.
Individual placers in the tourney were:
• 106 Jacinto Lopez — fourth place.
• 120 Logan Gilbert — Conference Champion.
• 132 Cole Reitz — Conference Champion.
• 138 Jayce Ritchie — fourth place.
• 144 Haylen Buell — Conference Champion.
• 150 Seth Toris — third place.
• 157 Gixxer Blair — fourth place.
• 165 Jack Bagwell — second place.
• 175 Jakub Tomyslak — fourth place.
• 190 Malcolm Smith — second place.
• 215 Sam Bleeker — third place.
• HWT. Cooper Dinse — third place.
Martin/Climax-Scotts will be grappling for a district team title Wednesday at Martin, taking on Gobles in the opening round.
