A 54-year-old Martin man was one of three people injured in a traffic crash just north of Allegan Friday afternoon.

The Martin man was driving a semi tractor-trailer on Babylon Road near 34th Street in Allegan Township when a car driven by a 24-year-old Plainwell man pulled out in front of him at the intersection, according to deputies from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team indicated the semi tractor-trailer had the right away.

Both drivers and a 10-year-old female passenger from the car all were taken to hospitals where both occupants from the passenger car are in critical condition. The semi tractor-trailer driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Names of the occupants are not being released pending further investigation.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s office was assisted by Allegan Fire Department, Hopkins Township Fire Department, and Life EMS.
