The Martin varsity football team once again took down an undefeated opponent, this time Grand Rapids Sacred Heart, 48-26, on its home field.
The game was played Wednesday night rather than the customary Friday evening.
‘Sacred Heart brought a 6-0 overall season record to the stadium. The Falcons gave Martin its toughest battle yet this season.
The Clippers won their seventh game in a row and now have compiled an eye-popping 391 points in six contests, averaging a little more than 56 points per game. They’ve yielded 80 points, for an average of 11 per game.
Martin has enjoyed terrific success since opting for eight- rather than 11-man football, winning two state championships, back to back and qualifying every year for the post-season playoffs.
