Larry Amborski, age 90 of Wayland, died at Alamo Cove Tuesday, March 18.

Larry was born in Hilliards, the youngest of four children. He worked on the family farm and helped neighboring farmers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, bingo and riding his bike. He continued on the athletic fields, playing, umpiring and coaching softball. He enjoyed golf, and if he wasn’t playing well, he’d start looking for golf balls. That became a hobby, and he would collect, sell, or give golf balls away to whoever wanted them.

Larry and his wife regularly played cards, and you always wanted Larry as a euchre partner, because he won. The pool table in the basement also got plenty of use.
