Janet Neuman’s mass scheduled for June 4

Janet Lynn Neuman, age 74, died Thursday, May 29.

Janet was a woman of many talents and boundless kindness. She loved her crafts and scrapbooking with a passion she passed on to all her daughters and grandchildren. Her loving and nurturing spirit was ever-present in her vast, beautiful, and exotic gardens.

This same spirit overflowed into the lives and hearts of many, especially her grandchildren, leaving an indelible mark in their lives. Only her unceasing love and devotion for her husband — could rival the love she had in her heart for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward Neuman, four children: Edward (Kristin) Neuman, Kelly (Gary) Harmon, Patrick (Tiffany) Neuman, and Phillip (Nikki) Neuman. 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She also will be missed by siblings Tom and Sharon Higgins, Mike and Lajuana Higgins, Susan Van Dorp (Higgins), Renee Higgins (Kerkstra), Ann (Higgins) and Les Conklin, and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Kathlyn and Thomas Higgins; brother, James Higgins; brother in-law, Michael Van Dorp; and sister in-law, Joan Reardon (Neuman).

Main St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft Ave. SE, Caledonia.
