Rosalene Elizabeth Burd, age 86, of Dorr died Saturday, April 5.
Rose was the first born child of Gerard and Louise (Steffes) Funk.
She is survived by her son, Daniel; siblings Eugene, Raymond (Kathleen), Patricia (Don) Van Wagner, Susan Gruis, Deborah (Mike) Valenti; siblings-in-law James Pfeiffer, Deborah Funk; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Burd; siblings Theresa Pelgrim, James, Mary Louise Pfeiffer, Bernard and Gary; special nieces Lynn and Carrie.
The celebration of the life of Rose will begin 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, welcoming family and friends, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church – 2459 146th Ave., Dorr.
Given the restrictions on flowers in the church, contributions in Rose’s honor may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Michigan (biami.org)
