Lois C. Mlynarchek, age 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at her home in Wayland.

Lois was born on June 13, 1935, to James H. and Wilma E. (Keith) May in Plainwell. She was a graduate of Wayland High School. On Dec. 27, 1963, she married Ron Mlynarchek.

Lois worked for Bell Telephone company for 32 years. She treasured her cats Pooker, Bootsy, Mutley (Shelby) and Cali. Lois was also an Auxiliary member at VFW Post 7581.

She is survived by husband Ron, care givers Great Lakes Caring Hospice and Wayland Area EMS, especially Orland and Kathy Smith, Erin Koopman, Julee Sabin, Shelby Peckham and Kathy Stafford, along with many other family and friends.

Preceding Lois in death were her parents.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the Kubiak-Cook Wayland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wayland with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Donations in Lois’s name can be given to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, Wayland Area EMS or St. Therese Catholic Church.
