Mary Ann Smit, age 72, died Monday, April 1.
Mary was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Wayland for 40 years. She was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan, but most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry J. Smit; children, Amy (George) Chatterson, Brian (Amber) Smit; grandchildren, Emily Chatterson, Jeremy Chatterson, Dominic Smit, Gabriella Smit, Anthony “A.J.” Smit; siblings, John (Judy) Provancher, Larry (Aura) Provancher, many nieces, nephews and special friends, Tom (Betty) Ennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Provancher, Frances (Martin) Provancher; sister, Joanne (Gary) Vanderfin.
Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St, Dorr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St, Wayland, with an hour of visitation prior. Father Alphonse Savarimuthu presiding. Interment will be at Dorr Cemetery.
In honor of Mary, contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman Foundation.
