Russell Jay O’Connor, age 62 of Belmont, died Saturday, Aug. 4.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice O’Connor (Weber), their children, Jennifer O’Connor, Steve O’Connor, Mark (fiancée Katelin) O’Connor, Joe (Carla) O’Connor, Tiffany (Matthew) Vaughn, Dan O’Connor; 11 grandchildren; his siblings, Donna (Paul) Burmania, Barb (Don) Thompson, Von (Phil) Chenier, Bonnie (Jim) Teunissen, Wayne (Judy) O’Connor, Dale (Terri) O’Connor, Cheryl (Ed) Davis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Peg (Bill) Colter, Keith (Cindy) Weber, Lori (Tim) Jost, Shirley Weber, Kyle Weber, Ken Weber, Kraig (Wendy) Weber and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Ann O’Connor, step-mother Mae O’Connor and his brother Scott O’Connor.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th Street, Dorr, with a Rosary to be held at 3:30 p.m.
