Margaret Ann Weber, age 95 of Salem Township, and died peacefully Monday.

Margaret graduated from Zeeland High School on June 6, 1944, as the U.S. troops landed in Normandy, France. In September of 1945, she was hired at Salem Co-operative in Dorr, and though the name changed to Dorr Farm Products, she was employed there for a total of 56 years. She retired in 2001.

She was an avid hunter, gardener, and helped manage the family farm. She participated annually in the Allegan County Fair since 1988.

She will be missed by her brother, Father Don Weber; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Weber; nieces Rosemary Mills, Theresa (Mark) Steffes, Karen (Brian) McKinnon, and Elaine Weber; nephews Tony Weber and Dean Streb and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Rose; brothers Robert, August, and Francis; sister, Marian; niece, Anna.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th Street, Dorr. A Rosary will take place at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Margaret, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Visitation “Restore Our Heritage” Capital Campaign.
