Dorothy Dorothy Ann Budinger, age 72, of Wayland, formerly of Kentwood, died Wednesday, Aug. 16.

She had moved to Maplewood of Sandy Creek in Wayland five years ago.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Louise (Tom) Williams; her nieces and nephews Debbie Funk, Kathleen (Jerry) Burgess, Linda (John) VanSingel, Elaine (Ray Voetburg) Williams, Ruth Williams, Tom (Tammy) Williams, and Keith (Marilyn) Williams; many great-nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sebastian Steffes and Lonie Wolf-Steffes; her husband, Peter Budinger; and nephew Bernie Funk.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave., Byron Center, with Msgr. William Duncan celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, Aug. 20, from 4 to 7 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St., SW, with vigil service at 4:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Sebastian Catholic Church Building Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
