William John Prawdzik, age 57, of Hopkins died Saturday, July 8, at his home.

Bill was born on June 18, 1960, in Grand Rapids, to Anthony and Rita (Funk) Prawdzik. On Feb. 18, 1984, he married Barbara DeYoung which led to 33 wonderful years together. Bill said his greatest accomplishment was his family whom he cherished.  He enjoyed family vacations along with fishing and hunting.  Bill worked for many years at S. Abraham’s and Sons.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons William and Nicholas (Kylie), siblings; Margaret Keech, Sharon Prawdzik, Anthony Prawdzik, Joseph Prawdzik, Frances (Mike) Bertram, Diana Prawdzik, Mary (Jorge) Silva, father-in-law George Fletcher, in-laws; Rick Ward, Rick Ayris, Craig DeYoung, Jennifer Fletcher, Brenda (Tim) Mulder and Chris Notenbaum, many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings; Rosemary Ward, Gail Ayris and Gloria Prawdzik, brother-in-law KC Keech and mother-in-law, Lucille Fletcher.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12, from 2 to until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Dorr Chapel.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Parish, with family receiving friends and family from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial will take place immediately following at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be given to St. Mary’s Visitation Church or to donor’s choice.
