Edna Wiest (Nickels), age 96, of Dorr, died Thursday, Jan. 19.

She is survived by her children Larry Wiest and Bonnie (Gene) Major, her grandchildren Nick Wiest, Rachel (Dmitriy Kostyuchenko) Wiest, Dr. Tiffany (Dr. Sean Minnich), Dr. Timothy Major, and Dr. Todd Major; her sister Lorena Boersma; sister-in-law Lillian DeBree; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Reynold Wiest.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 2459 146th Ave, Byron Center. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. and one hour prior to Mass Monday at church.
