Ellen Simons (Kipen), age 78, died Monday, Nov. 18.

She is survived by her husband, Butch Simons; children Annette (Al) Gysin, Dan (Brenda) Kaczanowski, Gary (Leighann) Kaczanowski, Brenda (Gary) Fordham, Patrick (Marci) Kaczanowski, Philip Kaczanowski, Jerry (Jodi Block) Simons, Annette (Bob) Dever, and Ken Simons; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Edna Kipen; daughter, Cindy Simons Paasman; grandsons Clay Kaczanowski and Joe Gysin; the father of her children, Robert Kaczanowski; and many other loved ones.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home – Dorr Chapel, 4330 – 18th St. A Rosary will be held at 1 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 – 136th Ave., Dorr.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Ellen, contributions may be made to the St. Stanislaus Education Fund or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
