Mary Elizabeth (Fleser) Osborn of Hopkins died Monday, Jan. 8. at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was 58.

She was the daughter of Daryl Fleser and the late Gerie (Schumaker) Fleser and was the wife of Craig Osborn. Early in her career, Mary worked as an elementary teacher and recently she was employed at United Bank in Hopkins.

Mary was very involved with Hopkins community in a variety of ways. She was a member of the DDA, active with the Boy Scouts and helped with the rocket football program for many years.

Mary is survived by her husband, Craig Osborn; father, Daryl Fleser; sons, Steven Osborn and Joseph Osborn; siblings Tim Fleser and Barb Fleser; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many cousins; and countless special friends.

The family will receive friends at Hopkins Community Church from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, beginning with the recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Therese of Lisiuex, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.16, with visitation at the church for one hour prior.

Mary will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an account at United Bank, Hopkins Branch, to help the family with medical and funeral expenses.
