Beth Calkins died Tuesday, Aug. 22. She was 67.

Beth was an extraordinary homemaker. Her home was always spotless, and she took pride in the meticulous care she invested into her home. She loved her children, as well as all the time spent with her husband, and best friend, Paul. Beth was an amazing wife; she was always alongside Paul for their countless endeavors, and always participated happily. Beth was considered the glue of the family; during their various moves to places including South Carolina, the St. Louis area, Arkansas, and back to Michigan, she would keep the family smiling and organized.

Beth also spent many, many hours supporting Zach at St. Jude and in their home, being the best mother to her child

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul; daughter, Carrie (Heather) Pueblo; sons Justin Pueblo, Zachary (Renee) Calkins, and Nicholas (Carrie) Calkins; siblings Mary Gauthier, Ralph Mills, and Debbie Calkins; as well her grandchildren Alexandra, Addison, and Logan.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Evelyn Mills; grandparents Ralph and Katherine Brinkert; sister-in-law, Evie Mills; brother-in-law, Bill Calkins; first husband, John Pueblo; and grandson, Cole.

A visitation for Beth and her family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr. A mass will be held for Beth at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at St. Stanislaus Church, 1871 136th Ave., Dorr, MI 49323, with burial following immediately after at Maplewood Cemetery in Hopkins Township. A luncheon will be held at St. Stanislaus following the graveside committal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
