Melissa Ann Eden, age 49, of Dorr, died Monday, Feb. 6, after battling cancer.

She was born Sept. 27, 1967, in Hastings and was a 1985 graduate of Wyoming Godwin Heights High School. Melissa attended Ferris State University and proceeded to work in several locations throughout the United States before settling in Dorr.

Melissa was proceeded in death by her father, Lee Roy Eden.

She is survived by her mother, Carolyn (Keith) Coats-Murphy; sister, Kelly (Keith) Casey-Sleeper, brother, Chad (Chris) Casey, “Dad”, Gordon (Carol) Casey, the love of her life, Tim Kamyszek, and step-daughter, Riley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Pastor Randall Bertrand will officiate the service.
