Harold Boysen died Sunday, Dec. 27, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. He was 92.
He was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Plainwell, the son of Merl and Ruth (Sibbersen) Boysen. Harold owned and operated the family farm, Boysen Farm Inc. in Plainwell for most of his life. After selling his farm he worked at Sly Woodworking in Holland and at Martin Christian Motors until his retirement.
Harold enjoyed woodworking and liked making wooden toys for his company, Honey Bear Toys. He was a member of the Woodworking Guild of Grand Rapids and the Martin Lions Club.
In 1947 he married Margaret Sprik, who died in 2017.
Surviving are his children, Theresa Misner, Deborah (Al) Coleman and Peggy (John) Scaturro; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and brother, Donald (Joann) Boysen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Dale.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later time.
