Orlys Mary Sevigny, age 91, died Monday, April 15, at her home in Wayland.

Orlys enjoyed many things, including sewing, cross-stitch and crocheting. She had the skill to make almost anything with a sewing machine. She was also an animal lover. Orlys and Richard enjoyed attending and watching NASCAR together. Most important, Orlys loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Orlys is survived by her children Richard (Kathy Stafford) Sevigny, Renee (Douglas Goodwin) Sevigny, Michael (Karen) Sevigny, Robert (Donna) Sevigny, Thomas (Connie) Sevigny; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Richard Lionel Sevigny; parents Cornelius and Nellie Balk; son, James Sevigny; grandsons Randy Konecny, Chase Sevigny; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Schwartz.

A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 129 Cedar St., Wayland, with visitation from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. In memory of Orlys and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.
