Jerry Herbert Thompson aged 79, of Dorr, died Sunday, April 11.

Jerry will be remembered for his love of family and friends, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan back in the day and would keep people playing dominoes forever.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Stephanie (Wisniewski); five children Laurie (Bryan) Zeeryp, Tracy (Mark) Bivins, Carrie (Ron) Bush, Rick Thompson and significant other Lisa, and Christy (Gabe) Garcia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Merle (Leslie) Thompson, sister Joyce Haywood, half- brothers and sisters Randy (Jody) Thompson, JoAnn (Ken) Cote, Ann Dolbee and step sister Linda McMann.

He also survived by his 97-year-old mother-in-law Bette M. Baker, whom he called every morning at 10:00 for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Helen Thompson and Gerald Thompson. Stepfather Bernell Thompson, brother David Thompson and sister Vivian Krause and step sister Barb Thompson.

Cremation took place Tuesday, April 13, and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
