Memorial service delayed until spring for Russell Campeau

Russell Joe Campeau, 70, of Martin, died Thursday, Dec. 21, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born April 13, 1947, in Cheboygan, he was the son of the late Joseph Noel and Mary Littlefield Campeau. He was married to Roberta Grace Edwards Campeau and together they enjoyed nearly 52 years of marriage. An avid golfer, he had belonged to the Mackinaw Golf Club. He also enjoyed bowling in several senior bowling leagues.

Besides his wife, Mr. Campeau is survived by his children, Russell Joseph (Robin) Campeau, Jr., James Patrick (Nicole) Campeau and Larry Joseph (Lisa) Campeau; grandchildren, Tabitha (Justin) Weeks, Rebecca (Fred) Robinson, Rayann Campeau and Brendan Campeau; great-grandchildren, Hunter Weeks, Tyler Brink, Michael Robinson and Abbigayle Weeks; siblings, Peggy Campeau, Tim (Missy) Campeau, Mike (Stephanie) Campeau, Ed (Dana) Campeau and Bev (Bill) McQuistion; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A remembrance celebration will take place next spring. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
