Margaret May Winteringham, age 78, of Wayland, died Thursday, Aug. 2.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Winteringham, in 2008.

She is survived by her son Robert M. Winteringham; brother, Fred L. (Janet) Strong. and her nieces and nephews. Margaret was a devoted mother and life-long educator. Her three passions in life were her family, children and animals.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main St, Wayland. Relatives and friends may meet Margaret’s family one half hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Margaret to Wayland Union Schools Education Foundation or the Allegan County Humane Society.
