Rodney Darl DeHaan, a former employee at SP Industries in Hopkins, died Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Allegan Medical Care Community. He was 65.
DeHaan, born Oct. 16, 1951, in Allegan, was a 1969 graduate of Allegan High School. He also worked at Checker Cab and Rockwell International.
He is survived by his wife, Janis (Banks); his sons: Daniel (Brittany) of Holland, Jason (Kristin) Hileski of Roebuck, SC; his grandchildren: Amelia and Avery DeHaan and Christopher, Ashley, Dillon (Jessica), Devin, Michael and Noah Hileski; and great-grandchildren: Emma, Caiden and Carson.
His siblings are: Yvonne (Dave) Reimink, Tim (Sue), Mike (Sue), Marc (Jan), all of Allegan, and Kathy (Scott) Groenewoud of West Olive; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Marie; granddaughter, Devon Brooke; parents, George and Geraldine (Grigsby); and brother, Randy (Michelle of La Verne, CA).
