Jamie Scott Arndt, 55, of Hopkins, died Thursday, April 4, at his home.

Born Oct. 30, 1963, in Zeeland, he was the son of the late Lavern and Virginia Rose (Knobloch) Arndt and was the husband of 18 years of Shiloh Ann (Main) Arndt.

Jamie had worked for Weick’s Excavating. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at East Lake. He took pride in watching his sons follow in his footsteps by also spending time fishing at East Lake. One of their favorite places to be together was at their cabin in Cadillac. Jamie knew a little about a lot of different things and was never shy about giving advice to those who could use it.

Besides his wife, Jamie is survived by sons Scott Arndt (Emili Costner), Andrew Arndt (Alyssia Fershee) and Morgen Arndt; and brothers, Tim Arndt and Lon (Dawn) Arndt.

A memorial service will take place at Diamond Spring Wesleyan Church, 3562 136th Avenue, Hamilton, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13.
