Phyllis Miller McBride, 81, of Burnips, died Sunday, Feb. 26.

She was born Aug. 31, 1935, to Maynard and Edna Miller. Phyllis loved music, singing, playing the piano and playing the organ. She enjoyed homemaking, sewing, making things for people in need, and baking with her friends.

She was married to Maurice McBride in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Brenner and Julie McBride and their families, and one brother Richard Miller. She loved her grandchildren Aaron, Deanna, Brittany, Marissa, Janel and Chelsea. She also had seven great grandchildren who brought her great joy.

Friends may meet with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel.

A Memorial Celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Life Change Community Church (3014 Newell Street, Burnips, Mich., Rev. Steve Jones officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis’ name to the Life Change Community Church Building Fund.
