Harvey J. Haverdink, age 71, of Moline, died Sunday, May 20.

Harvey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, teacher and coach.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Kimber-Lee) Haverdink, Jodi (Dan) Ainsworth, Brent (Missy) Haverdink; grandchildren, Austin, Abigail, Andrew Haverdink, Cory, Stephanie, Nathan Ainsworth, Sam, Claire Haverdink; brothers and sisters, Garold (Carolyn) Haverdink, Hazel (Roger) Hielkema, Gladys (Kenneth) Hielkema, Jarvis (Alyce) Haverdink, Joan (Bruce) Quist, Roger (Sheryl) Haverdink, Rosemary (Donald) Poortvliet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arnold Hoezee, Howard (Norma) Glass, John (Barb) Glass, Kelly (Judy) Glass, Bev (Bob) Bolhuis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and parents, Harold and Reka Haverdink; and sister Wilma Hoezee.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Moline Christian Reformed Church, 4341 Chappell St. Interment in Floral View Memory Gardens.

The family will greet visitors Friday, May 25, from 4 to 8 pm at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Cutlerville.

Contributions in memory of Harvey may be to a Christian school of your choosing.
