John Oetman of Leighton Township died Thursday, Oct. 3. He was 54.

John loved life, loved his family, and cherished his faith. He had a big heart, and would be the first to lend a helping hand to a neighbor. He was never one to sit still, always on the go for family or church events. Every Saturday, he could be found out back cutting wood with friends to make sure his supply never ran low. John was very proud of his family and especially his grandpa title.
