Chris E. Davis died Sunday, Oct. 17, at his home in Martin. He was 50 years old.

He was born Sept. 15, 1971, in Kalamazoo, the son of Russell and Linda (Veld) Davis. He worked at Perrigo as a receiving trainer.

Chris liked to make people laugh, loved Halloween, camping, hunting and cooking. He enjoyed drag racing, golf carts, classic cars and attending car shows where he won several trophies.

Chris was artistic and liked writing, especially poetry. He loved his family very much, especially his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his fiancée, Jennifer Dedrich; children, Jaeleigh (Ryan) Mcloud, Auston Davis and Kyan Barnes; three grandchildren, Kaidence, Ryan and Juleean; brother, Jim (Mary) Davis; sisters, Mary Davis and Erin Davis; his mother, Linda Benwire; father, Russell (Joyce) Davis, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and step-father, Allan Benwire.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Martin United Methodist Church with Pastor Maggie Stoken officiating.
