Lloyd John DeYoung Jr., 80, died Sunday, Dec. 25.
He was born Aug. 19, 1942, to Lloyd Dr. and Henrietta DeYoung.
Lloyd was able to fix anything, from remodeling, woodworking, car repairs, building a 1923 T-bucket hot rod from the ground up. He enjoyed RC plane flying, fishing, and hunting and enjoyed spending his last nine years wintering in Bradenton, Fla.
Lloyd served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Sharon Doxey Peet DeYoung; children Marybeth (Russ) Reber, Lisa (Todd) Yung, Lloyd (Deb) DeYoung, Mike (Lisa) DeYoung; stepchildren Brad Peet and Stacey (Ryan) Myers; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Don DeYoung; sister-in-law, Mary Jane DeYoung; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary; and brother, Claude DeYoung.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Wayland Christian Reformed Church, 303 E. Elm St.
