Donald Arthur Knott, age 56, died at his home in Dorr Saturday, Dec. 2.

Throughout the course of his disease, Don’s faith in God never wavered.

Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy (Looyenga) Knott; his children, Audra (Rev. Aaron) Warner, Rev. Andrew (Amanda) Knott, Amanda (James) DeJonge and Ashley (Matthew) Diemer, as well as his 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Theresa (George) Elder, Tom (Lois) Knott, Henry (Cynthia) Knott, Cathy (Jeff) Booth, Carol (Russ) Dykstra, Dr. David (Claudia) Looyenga and Jane (Jon) Verduin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Irene Knott, and step-mother, Sarah Knott, as well as his parents-in-law, Stuart and Marilyn Looyenga.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity URC in Caledonia at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, with visitation prior, from 2 to 4 p.m., Rev. Andrew Knott and Rev. Aaron Warner officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s honor to Mid-America Reformed Seminary.
