Kathleen Mary (Conov
er) Laker, age 70, of Wayland, died Friday, Oct. 14.
A loving mother and devoted wife, Kathleen demonstrated God’s love and grace to all she came into contact with.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mitch; her sons, Lance (Kara) Laker, Jeremy Laker; grandchildren, Liberty Ann, Harmony Paige, Charity Elizabeth, Lance “Christian” II; her brother and sisters, Fred (Virginia) Conover, Betty Conover, Mary (Jarvis) Kirby; her mother-in-law, Laura Laker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Edna) Laker, Geta (Tim) Brockway, Kelly (Joyce) Laker, Scott (Colleen) Laker.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Justice Myron Laker; brother, Bill Conover; parents, Max and Katherine Conover; and her father-in-law, Myron “Pete” Laker.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Woodward Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Woodward Baptist Church, 2160 76th St. SW, with a luncheon to follow, Pastor Lance C. Laker officiating.
