William (Bill) Bolt of Hopkins died Tuesday, Nov. 9. He was 73.

Known for his booming voice, demanding presence, and “work is life” ethic, he collected all kinds of friends, family and connections throughout his life, giving nicknames out along the way.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years Jean Bolt, children Brooks Bolt, Laura (Baby) Bolt, T.J. Jansma, Holly Mathew (Jansma), Kaity Colin (Jansma), brother George (Porky) Bolt, and puppies Nut and Sissy Bolt, as well as people he had taken in, mentored, and helped along the way.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, George and Johanna Bolt, brothers Frank Peltz and Henry (Bones) Bolt, sister Bonnie McMichael (Bolt), and dogs Willamina and Bear Bolt.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at 2756 142nd Ave., Dorr.
