Kira Danelle (Knobloch) Hensley, 61 of Hopkins, died Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Born Oct. 27, 1961, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Knobloch and Audrey Shann and leaves behind her stepmother, Patricia Knobloch.

Kira truly embodied what it meant to put the Lord first in every and any conversation and showed us all how to navigate through the ups and downs of life with faith and grace. Kira was always someone with a listening ear and provided guidance. She gladly answered to her calling as a Christian counselor and touched the lives of many.

Kira’s cherished her five children and adored her 12 grandchildren. One of Kira’s greatest joys in life was exploring antique stores, thrift shops, and taking trips to the charming town of Shipshewana. She was an avid rock collector and loved the Great Lakes. But Kira’s most favorite activity was worshiping the Lord.

Kira is survived by her five children, Amber (Pat) Craddock, Josh (Emily) Ranney, Kyle (Jenny) Ranney, Seth (Jerrolyn) Ranney, and Ethan Fazer (Morgan McCrum); 12 grandchildren, Caleb, Alayna, Caiden, Skylyn, Keegan, Ian, Ashten, Elsie, Emma, Evie, Josie, and Ethan; five siblings, Daniel (Carrie) Knobloch, Renee (Doug) Swaney, Mark (Kristine) Althouse, Valerie (Bill) Hart, and Jamie Hemenway (Shawn West); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Christopher Althouse, and Kistov Knobloch.

Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Corner Bible Church, t4001 124th Ave., Allegan, with pastors Dean Dehoog and Nick Westra co-officiating. Inurnment will take place directly after the service at Maplewood Cemetery.

Following the cemetery, the family invites all to a luncheon at the Corner Bible Church to share stories and memories of Kira.
