Linda Lea Wykstra, 72, of Martin, died Saturday, July 10, at Allegan County Medical Care Community.She was born Oct.25, 1948, to Paul and Elene Plank, Linda grew up in Holt and met her husband, Earl Wykstra, on a blind date in 1970 and they married a year later.
Linda went to Alma College before graduating from Bronson School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Allegan Medical Care facility for 42 years prior to retiring in 2014.
Linda loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed reading books and doing different types of crafts such as stained glass, quilting, painting and ceramics. Linda also enjoyed traveling and camping with her friends and family. She especially loved to travel with her Aunt Hazel. Linda was a member of East Martin Christian Reformed Church.
She is survived by her husband, Earl; two children, Jennifer (Chuck) Moore and John (Libby) Wykstra; her five loving grandchildren, Cassandra (Chase), Caleb, Trey, Dakota and Emma; and a great-grandson, Clifford.
The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Monday, July 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial service will take place at East Martin Christian Reformed Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, with visitation at the church for one hour prior.
