Rena L. Kamps, age 83, of Burnips died Friday, Nov. 13.
Rena was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Throughout her life she had worked for General Telephone, as a librarian and picked asparagus for many years.
She married Jerald Kamps on Sept. 25, 1954, and together they raised four children. For 61 years they traveled for work and pleasure, but especially enjoyed their cottage on Lake Michigan with their family and friends.
She was a member of the Burnips United Methodist Church.
Rena is survived by her husband Jerald, children; Jan (Ron) Wubbeling, Rhonda (Bill) Vogt, Kay (Dean) Dykstra, daughter-in-law Janice Kamps, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother Emery (Claudia) Brazil, in-laws Tootie Krug, Al (Judy) Kamps and Harvey (Renate) Kamps, along with several Nieces and Nephews and special dog Tinkerbell.
Preceding her in death were her parents Emery and Rena (McGrew) Brazil, son Terry Kamps and Aunt Eddie McGrew.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Kubiak-Cook Dorr Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Kubiak-Cook Dorr Chapel.
