David Lewis Amerson, 36, the Dorr Township man man reported missing over the weekend was found dead Monday afternoon, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s office.

Authorities said there was no indication of any foul play. His body was found with the help of K-9 officers on his property near 140th Avenue.

Amerson was reported to have been last seen around 11 p.m. Friday at a family member’s residence in the Grand Rapids and was supposed to be headed home.

Family members reported him missing Sunday after he did not meet them for a planned event Saturday.

Search parties were organized to Monday and his workplace, Weller Truck Parts Reman Center in Wyoming, had offered a $10,000 reward for information about his location.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Wayland post.
