The 15-year-old Battle Creek who has been sought as a runaway was found safe Friday in a Grand Rapids home.

Jordan English ran away and was with a 27-year-old man after visiting her mother in Fort Wayne, Ind. The man eventually was arrested in Grand Rapids on an unrelated charge.

Allegan County authorities issued a press release asking for help in locating the teen, believing she could be hiding in this area. They also suggested she could be the victim of a crime.

Detectives, with help from a Silent Observer tip, led them to a residence in the 1600 block of Godwin Avenue Friday night when she was apprehended as she tried to escape out the back door

It has not been determined whether charges will be filed against the owner of the home where she was located.
