Moline Christian student wins county spelling bee

Wayland Union Middle School was host for the annual Allegan County Spelling Bee Tuesday, Feb. 25, when five area students competed. Natalie Smit, eighth-grader from Moline Christian, took first place and Carter Vronko, fouth-grader from Pine Street Elementary was the runner-up. Natalie will advance to the Grand Rapids Spelling Bee Tuesday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gerald Ford Museum.
