The new downtown Wayland traffic lights have been installed at the corner of Superior and Main Streets. Reno Agency owner Mike Salisbury, who took this photo, said, “What makes them ‘cool’ instead of just the look is that they are ‘smart’ or ‘green’ traffic lights. The camera above the light senses the traffic needs. So more green lights during high traffic times. This keeps cars moving and not stopped idling wasting energy and hurting the environment.”
