Voters and patrons of Leighton Township will notice a bit of a change entering the parking lot in today’s election. The township has completed an additional entry/exit way to the parking lot from the driveway. The new pattern was installed to ease traffic entering and leaving the parking lot on election days, and other high traffic events. Residents will enter the parking lot on the west entryway, and exit using the east entryway, creating a circular pattern.
The township contracted Oetman Excavating to put in the new entryway at a cost of $26,456.
