A car-train crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on 140th Avenue just west of Division, but no one was injured, according to authorities with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies reported that a vehicle heading east on 140th Avenue in Leighton Township failed stop at the railroad crossing stop sign and was hit by a train traveling north.
Authorities indicated that 140th Avenue was closed between 12th Street and Division after the crash.
Investigation of the incident continues.
