Terry Lynn Brenner, 60, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Born to the late June and Floyd Brenner on Aug. 9, 1964, in Plainwell, Terry grew to be a man of great character, cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His life was a testament to the values of kindness, humor and love, which he extended to both his family and friends.

An avid hunter, he pursued game such as deer, turkeys and bears with respect and skill, finding peace in the quiet of the woods. His summers were spent on the fields playing softball and enjoying a variety of sports, a testament to his love for the camaraderie and thrill of the game.

He leaves behind his sister Tracey (Joe) Fredricks; brothers Todd and Tim Brenner; nephews Justin (Marissa) Brenner and Jacob Fredricks; nieces Jordynn (Casey) Bellgraph and Michelle (Aaron) Webber; and an array of cousins, friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Teresa Brenner; and niece, Heather Ann Burdo,

The family will lay Terry to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Terry’s memory may make a charitable contribution to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
