The 144th Avenue bridge over U.S.-131 again was struck by a truck this morning.
An observer said it looked like a Padnos trailer hauling scrap northbound.
One motorist posted on Facebook, “I was behind it a few vehicles – looks like there was junk sticking out the top and that’s what hit the bridge. I don’t think the actual trailer hit it, so structurally I’d think it’s fine. Just debris all over the road.”
Many area residents and motorists continue to note that there have been more than a few incidents such as these over the past several years.
Brian Borr posted, “We need big fines for the driver and the company that they are driving for. This never used to happen to those bridges, only 100th Street bridge.”
