The Allegan County Health Department today reported the first death of Covid-19 since last summer, bringing the cumulative total to eight since the pandemic began last March.
The health department also has indicated there have 1,725 total cases confirmed since the start of the outbreak, the vast majority of those in the last month. There were more than 4,000 cases reported in Michigan in the past 24 hours.
Latest figures, as of Nov. 4, show 813 people have recovered from the virus, but 71 have been hospitalized. There have been 44,484 who have tested negative for the virus thus far and 323 are being monitored now.
Wayland Union Schools Tuesday reported, “As of Tuesday, November 3, 2020, WUS is at a Risk Category D, as determined by the Allegan County Health Department. We will continue our hybrid schedule: Group A: Mondays & Thursdays; Group B: Tuesdays & Fridays; All: Wednesdays virtual.”
