John “Red” Rowley, age 86, of Casa Grande, AZ, formerly of Comstock Park, died Sunday March 3.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Rowley, who was a longtime physical education teacher, coach and guidance counselor at Wayland High School. Also surviving are step daughter Pam Smiley, grandson Eric Pelfresne, daughter Tori (Jeff) Gillesse, grandchildren Randi, AJ, and Nolan John Block, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed retirement on Beaver Island and many friends he and Pat made there, plus friends he made in Arizona. He was an avid outdoorsman, also a pilot, and loved to travel. John served in Korea with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.

John has donated his body to Research For Life to help in the fight of Parkinsons and Dementia. There will be no services or memorial.
