Pesky 100th Street overpass above 131 finally ready to go

A milestone of sorts was reached earlier this week when the 100th Street overpass above the U.S.-131 expressway was completed by the Michigan Department of Transportation. The bridge, only seven miles north of Wayland, had been a headache for motorists in many different ways over the past several years. Big rigs had a nasty habit of crashing into it because was hanging so low and earlier this year there were many warnings from fellow motorists to avoid going north of Dorr or south of Byron Center on 131 because traffic was backed up so badly during repair and renovation efforts.
